Our Statement of Faith - What we believe.
The Bible
- We believe the Bible - the 66 books that now comprise the Old and New Testaments - to be the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God, and the rule for all faith and practice.
The Godhead
- We believe that there is only one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ
- We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, God-incarnate, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin, fully human and fully divine; who lived a sinless life and died a vicarious and atoning death; who remained not in the grave, but rose again and ascended to the right of the Father where He waits to return in power and glory.
The Holy Spirit
- We believe in the Holy Spirit who proceeds from and is equal to the Father and the Son, the One who convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment and who regenerates, seals, and sanctifies God’s people, uniting them in the body of Christ called the Church.
Mankind
- We believe that God created man in His own image for His own glory and that, through the sin of Adam, all who came after him are born sinful, separated from God, and desperately in need of redemption - a redemption available only through the person and work of Jesus Christ.
Salvation
- We believe that salvation is the work of God, by grace alone through faith alone - all to His glory and honor, and that all who have been united to Christ through faith will be preserved by God through faith as they persevere in faith unto the end.
The Church
- We believe that the Church consists in the spiritual unity of all true believers in the Lord Jesus and that the local church is designed to faithfully reflect the unity and diversity of the Church universal.
Christian Conduct
- We believe that all who profess to follow Jesus Christ are responsible to diligently and faithfully pursue the good of their fellow man and the glory of their God.
Last Things
- We believe in the personal and visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ, the resurrection of the body, the eternal happiness of the righteous in Heaven, and the everlasting suffering of the wicked in Hell.
